Craftsman style homes consist of a variety of aesthetic features such as exposed rafter and beam ends, corbels in the gables, over hanging eaves, and shed dormers. These types of homes were created during the early 20th century during the arts and crafts movement. The exterior of these styles of homes are usually made of stone or wood siding. There is usually some masonry work done on the chimneys. And you will find that the foundation will usually consist of rock and have a slope that grows outward as it approaches the ground. You will also see extensive use of decorative features and wood elements.
